Operations Manager - Sussex & Kent

Purpose of Role

* Ensuring that the day to day operations of your business runs smoothly

* Lead, Develop and coach your team to maximum productivity

* Drive business growth and sales within your area with the regional sales team

* Deliver Operational Excellence targets and embed the Our Learner Promise for the benefit of all key stake holders

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role

* Deliver Operational Excellence and regional targets through high performing Learning & Development Coaches

* Accountable for all aspects of line management and leadership inclusive of recruiting, training, developing and retaining peak performing colleagues and ensuring consistent delivery against Our Learner Promise

* Drive consistent and effective deliver to learners by ensuring that all Learner Journey processes are followed

* Ensure that all quality processes are followed and maintain regular and effective communication with IQAs to ensure timely achievement of qualifications for learners

* Support team in maintaining caseload numbers by providing innovative solutions to learner recruitment and new customers

* Develop and share best practice across your team and region

* Coach and develop teams through regular field observations

* Conduct regular team communication meetings

* Ensure team maintain continuous professional development

* Ensure the team provide their caseload of learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualifications timely

* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or come into contact with

* Consistently demonstrate our Paragon cultural and behavioural values

* To provide Information, Advice and Guidance to all customers that enables them to make in-formed decisions to meet their goals and objective

Essential Criteria Required

* Successful track record of leading and developing a high performing team in a work based learning environment

* Sales and business development skills

* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload

* Well-developed interpersonal and motivational skills

* Effective delivery of deadlines, objectives and targets

* Knowledge of funding and awarding bodies

* Functional skills at level 2 – Maths, English and ICT

* A1/V1 qualifications

* Energetic and positive

* Confident decision maker that takes responsibility for their choices

* Ability to think on your feet

* The ability to prioritise

* Self-motivated and assertiveness

* The ability to work flexible hours and locations

* Clean driving licence and access to a car
