We are looking for a Lecturer in Carpentry to join a growing department within a leading FE college in East Sussex on a permanent contract.
As a Lecturer in Carpentry, you will work as a member of a team to deliver a co-ordinated, integrated learning programme ensuring that students receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success.

(a) You will be employed as a Lecturer in which capacity you will be required to perform such duties consistent with your position as may from time to time be assigned to you.

(b) To prepare, teach and assess at appropriate levels.

(c) To supervise environments conducive to learning within the College.

(d) To provide appropriate guidance counselling and tutorial support.

This post involves teaching Carpentry to students of all abilities post 16.

You will be required to hold experience in teaching or training to be able to teach on a range of courses, relevant to the curriculum area. Industry experience would be a huge advantage although is not essential.
The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification, e.g. DTTLS, PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent, as well as an Assessors award, or the desire to achieve both. It is essential to have a Level 3 vocational qualification in Carpentry.

Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will have:

* A UK recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or similar equivalent

* Assessor qualification preferable

* Experience delivering the subject area or working with young people

* At least 3 years industry experience minimum

* An in-date CRB/DBS check
