A well-established FE college apprenticeship department are offering an exciting opportunity to support and grow the assessment of Plumbing apprentices ranging from Level 1 to Level 3.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the high performing team in our Plumbing department. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate apprenticeships, develop our e-portfolio systems and carry out work-based assessments.
The applicant will have excellent communication skills, significant industrial experience, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing and appropriate ICT skills.
You will be required to support and assess students studying Plumbing apprenticeships, part time and full time courses. This will mean developing relationships with employers, motivating timely completion of apprenticeship criteria, carrying out on-site assessments and ensuring employers' and apprentices' experiences are outstanding in terms of development and achievements.
A clean driving licence and access to or use of transport are essential as the successful candidate will need to work across the county.
This post reports into the lead Internal quality assurer and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and assessing apprentices across a range of different levels and support the learning journeys of all students within the apprenticeship framework.

The college are looking to appoint on a permanent basis however they will also consider a temporary hourly rate option between £18-25 per hour dependent upon experience and qualifications
This role will be a growing opportunity for growth within a well-established apprenticeship department. Duties will include the following;
*Be accountable for assigned subjects, overseeing, managing, monitoring and developing all aspects of the learner journey.
*Monitor the work of the apprentices enrolled onto the framework
*Monitor quality and agree targets and support for apprentices in delivering interesting and exciting learning, meeting all apprenticeship standards.
The successful candidate for the assessor position must have:
* Relevant Assessing qualification, TAQA 3, A1, D32&D33 or CACHE
* Current and In-depth knowledge of Plumbing and industry experience
* Experience of assessing with apprenticeships within a training provider or Further Education college.
* Plastering qualification
