The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and moderation of courses within their subject area to enable the pre and post age 16 learners to achieve the learning outcomes including a high level of learner retention and achievement. In doing so the post-holder will comply with the college quality standards, the common inspection framework and the Self-Assessment Action Plan. The job description intends to incorporate within it the professional standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education - England (2014).
A Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training can be given for the right candidate.
