Temporary Contract Full-Time 37 Hours per Week Melton Mowbray

Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer/Assessor to join a well-established Further Education provider on a temporary basis, with an expected duration of approximately 1-2 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate motor vehicle professional with teaching experience to support learners in developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom-based theory sessions and practical workshop training.
• Assess and support learners working towards Motor Vehicle qualifications.
• Provide high-quality teaching across a range of motor vehicle repair and maintenance topics.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain a safe and effective learning environment within both classroom and workshop settings.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Industry-relevant Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle.
• Teaching qualification
• Assessors qualification.
• Recent and relevant industry experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
• Experience delivering and assessing Motor Vehicle qualifications is desirable.
• Previous teaching experience within Further Education or training environments would be advantageous.

Knowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of the knowledge and skills required to become an effective Motor Vehicle Technician.Competence across a broad range of vehicle systems including:

• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Transmission systems
• Mechanical systems
• Chassis and suspension systems
• Ability to deliver both theoretical and practical learning activities.
• Strong communication and learner support skills.
