Hardware Design Engineer Up to £50,000 Colchester area + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business in the Colchester area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of electronic hardware development projects, working on a range of products from initial concept through to production. You'll be joining a supportive engineering team where your technical expertise and ideas will make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing analogue and digital electronic circuits
• Creating schematics and PCB layouts
• Leading hardware development projects from concept to production
• Selecting components, testing prototypes and debugging electronic circuits
• Working closely with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams
• Supporting existing products and driving continuous improvements
• Producing technical documentation and participating in design reviews

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Ideally 2 5 years' experience in electronic hardware design
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
• Experience with PCB design and schematic capture software
• Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects
• Experience with Altium Designer or RF circuit design would be advantageous
