An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider delivering practical and classroom-based learning to students studying Motor Vehicle qualifications. The role focuses primarily on Levels 1 and 2 programmes and would suit either an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into education.

Temporary or Permanent Opportunities Available

The college is actively seeking cover for the start of the new academic year and is open to considering both temporary and permanent applicants.

If you are available immediately but unsure about committing to a permanent role, a temporary arrangement may be considered initially. For the right candidate, there could be an opportunity to move into the permanent position following a successful period in post.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging teaching, learning and assessment in Motor Vehicle
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work and assessment materials
• Contributing to programme delivery and curriculum development
• Encouraging positive student behaviour, attendance and engagement
• Promoting employability skills and industry standards
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high-quality provision

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in Motor Vehicle
• Relevant industry experience within the automotive sector
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners
• Passion for developing the next generation of skilled professionals

Desirable

• Teaching qualification
• Previous teaching, training or assessing experience
• Knowledge of vocational qualifications and assessment processes
• Experience working with young people or apprentices

No Teaching Qualification?
