Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Electrical opportunities

We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Electrical to support and assess Electrical Apprentices up to Level 3 at a well established Further Education College. The successful candidate will work closely with learners and employers to ensure successful achievement of apprenticeship standards.

Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Electrical (Part-Time, Temporary)

Location: Worksop

Hours: 22.5 per week

Contract: Temporary (3 months initially)

Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Electrical (Full-Time Permanent)

Location: Worksop

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Permanent

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation or related discipline
• Recent industry experience in the Electrical sector
• Experience supporting, mentoring or assessing Electrical Apprentices
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS check
• Satisfactory employment references
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Assessor Award (TAQA/A1)
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS/CAVA)
• Experience within Further Education or Apprenticeships
• Knowledge of End Point Assessment (EPA)

Key Duties:

• Support and assess apprentices in the workplace
• Conduct reviews and track learner progress
• Liaise with employers and maintain learner records
• Prepare learners for qualification achievement and EPA
