Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to join a supportive educational environment.
This rewarding role is ideal for someone with experience supporting learners with additional needs and providing personal care. You will play a key role in helping learners access education, develop independence and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities for the Learning Mentor Role
- Provide in-class support to learners across a range of programmes.
- Assist learners with educational activities and engagement.
- Deliver personal and intimate care, including toileting, feeding and menstrual care.
- Support learners with mobility and manual handling requirements.
- Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure individual learner needs are met.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies at all times.
Requirements for the Learning Mentor Role
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above.
- Previous experience supporting learners in an education, care or support setting.
- Experience delivering personal care.
- Manual handling experience or training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and learner welfare.
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with learners and colleagues.
