Are you an experienced executive office professional with a strong track record of supporting senior leaders, driving strategic projects, and delivering organisational change?
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware CEO Office Business Manager & Strategic Projects Lead to work closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team within a large, complex education organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of the organisation, acting as a trusted adviser and delivery partner to the CEO while leading strategic initiatives that have a direct impact on organisational performance and learner outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level business management and strategic support to the CEO.
- Lead and coordinate strategic projects from planning through to implementation.
- Drive delivery of organisational priorities, ensuring actions, risks and milestones are effectively managed.
- Prepare executive reports, briefing papers, presentations and decision-making documents.
- Coordinate senior leadership meetings, governance activity and executive planning cycles.
- Develop project plans, dashboards, action trackers and reporting frameworks.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, governors and external stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against strategic objectives and ensure accountability across multiple workstreams.
- Support organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience supporting a CEO, Principal, Executive Director or equivalent senior leader.
- A background in Executive Office Management, Business Management, Chief of Staff, Governance, Programme Management or Strategic Project Delivery.
- Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Excellent report writing, briefing and presentation skills.
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within Further Education or a strong understanding of the FE sector would be highly advantageous.
- A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or MSP would be desirable.
