As an Electrical Trainer, you'll deliver Electrical Installation across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level provision, working with class sizes of around 24 learners. You'll deliver a mixture of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory, supporting learners as they develop the technical knowledge, confidence, and skills required to progress within the electrical industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Electrical Installation background and hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition, and Testing & Inspection / 2391. You should have strong practical industry experience, a student-first attitude, and a genuine motivation to move into teaching. Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential, as full support can be provided through internal teacher training, starting with AET and potentially progressing onto a Level 5 qualification.

The role:

Deliver Electrical Installation across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level provision.
Teach practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory.
Work with class sizes generally around 24 learners.
Approximately 24 hours timetabled teaching per week.
Full-time permanent position, 37 hours per week.
Based at the Bispham campus.
Support learners with technical knowledge, practical skills, and progression.
Full teacher training and development provided.
Clear internal progression opportunities into Programme Leader and Curriculum Leader roles.

The person:

Electrical Installation background essential.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical required.
18th Edition required.
Testing and Inspection / 2391 required.
Gold Card or strong Electrical Installation experience highly desirable.
Strong practical industry experience.
Teaching experience beneficial but not essential.
Student-first attitude and genuine motivation to support learner development.
Strong communication skills and confidence delivering technical content.
