NEC Housing Trainer

  • Rate of pay: 254.59 PAYE or 335.25 per day (day rate)
  • Job Type: Temporary (until November 2026)

Overview

An experienced NEC Housing Trainer is required to support the successful implementation and adoption of a core NEC Housing system. This system enables the delivery of an efficient, joined-up service for tenants and leaseholders, improves collaboration across Housing and wider services, and provides a single customer view.

This role will play a key part in embedding system knowledge across the organisation through a train-the-trainer model, ensuring subject matter experts can disseminate best practice to colleagues. The position is offered on a fixed-term basis for the duration of the implementation programme, with a strong focus on long-term skills transfer.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom-based training sessions on the NEC Housing system
  • Provide coaching and support to subject matter experts (SMEs) to enable onward training delivery
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and supporting resources
  • Promote consistent and effective use of the NEC Housing system across the organisation
  • Support the adoption of system processes, ensuring alignment with Housing operational workflows
  • Work closely with Housing teams to ensure training reflects real-world processes and requirements
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure sustainable internal capability
  • Contribute to improving user confidence and system utilisation to maximise efficiency and automation benefits

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with NEC Housing system
  • Solid understanding of Housing services and day-to-day operational processes
  • Proven experience in delivering training (classroom and/or coaching environments)
  • Experience delivering train-the-trainer programmes
  • Ability to create clear and effective training documentation and learning materials
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage varied audiences
  • Ability to translate technical/system knowledge into practical, user-friendly training

This role has been created due to the specialist combination of NEC system expertise, Housing knowledge, and training capability not being readily available internally. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth implementation and long-term capability building within the organisation.
