Reed Further Education are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education provider to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Carpentry Lecturer to start in the Surrey area.

Carpentry Lecturer

Salary: £29,373 - £41,718 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Construction department and deliver high-quality teaching to learners studying Carpentry programmes from Levels 1 to 3.

Main Duties

• Deliver engaging Carpentry lessons across Levels 1-3
• Support learners to achieve their qualifications
• Teach apprentices and assess coursework
• Act as a personal tutor for assigned learners
• Monitor attendance, progress and achievement
• Contribute to curriculum planning and development

Person Specification

• Qualified to teach Carpentry up to Level 3
• Industry experience within Carpentry or Joinery
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one
• Experience teaching within Further Education desirable
• Apprenticeship delivery experience advantageous
• Assessing/Internal Quality Assurance qualification desirable
