T Level Science Coordinator

Greater Manchester

Up to £35,000 FTC/ TEMP (8 MONTHS)



The purpose of this role is to plan and develop our Science T Level offer working with the curriculum area team and their Programme Leader to establish resources, delivery and assessment plans to ensure a successful start to the T Level courses. In September 2021 we have planned to recruit for the T Level pathways Laboratory Science. This post would see the successful candidate work closely with the science team establishing and coordinating professional development opportunities using their specialist scientific knowledge to inform their decisions concerning the curriculum plan and the preparation for the implementation of the T Level components.

The successful candidate will be able to develop relationships with local employers with the aim of securing partnership employers for the Science T Level pathway. Using their specialist knowledge to map the curriculum to their placements supporting the Work Experience Coordinators in establishing informative and productive placements for the students. As part of the role the T Level Coordinator will update and support admissions and marketing to inform prospective students and their parents of the T level offer and latest developments.



Principal purpose



Working with the Head of Faculty to:



1 Curriculum Development and Planning

1 Co-ordinate the development of the Science T Level offer
2 Ensure the T Level curriculum and/or support provision is reviewed updated as required and in line with the National and the College's strategic direction.
3 Assist where appropriate, in the implementation and review of the departmental business development plan.



1 Developing Resource

* Support the curriculum teams to plan and develop learning resource to the highest quality standards to ensure learners maximise potential for success and progression including blended T&L delivery materials, schemes and content.

1 Support the planning of the whole initial curriculum working alongside the PL to achieve this.
2 Alongside the HoF plan professional development for teaching, learning and assessment best practice for T Level delivery.



1 Cross College and External working

3.1 Work in partnership with external partners to develop relationships and to secure sponsorship for T Level courses

* To promote and provide excellent customer service internally and externally in all areas of the role.



1 Planning & Financial management

1 With the HoF and programme Leader ensure that effective curriculum planning and use of resources in the area meets the needs and demands of the college strategic direction and financial imperatives.



1 Cross College

5.1 Create and maintain working relationships that promote effective cross college communication e.g. apprenticeship teams, work experience teams, quality.

1 Observe and actively promote College policies and external legal requirements with regard to: financial regulations; health and safety; employment of staff; disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures; the students' charter; equal opportunities and other appropriate statutory obligations.
