Cambridge Regional College are currently seeking a Maths Lecturer (Functional Skills and GCSE) to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
Whether you're a vastly experienced Maths professional seeking a new challenge or NQT, both are welcome to apply.
Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and non- term times.
Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes.
Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
Prepare and adapt teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists and assessment papers, to enable all learners to progress.
Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area
Carry out moderation/ assessment and verification.
Contribute to the College quality cycle
Assist in recruitment and admission of new students.
Attend promotional events to publicise College and Faculty activities.
Contribute to the compilation of publicity materials
The person & qualifications
Hold a teaching qualification or willing to work towards.
Experience of teaching Mathematics/Functional Skills/GCSE students across a broad range of levels
Experience of preparing students for Functional Skills / GCSE exams
A relevant Degree
High levels of student engagement
Experience of delivering embedded literacy/numeracy courses.
