Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in Creative Media Production

(Maternity Cover)

£19.21 per hour + £4.60 per hour holiday pay

Temporary Contract -Maternity Cover until July 2020

Blackburn College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the North West. The School of Creative & Digital includes a dynamic Arts School which is a centre of excellence with (UAL) University of Arts London and a Leadership College with Creative & Cultural Skills. We offer an expanding curriculum providing a wide range of learning opportunities for people wishing to work within the Creative Sector including creative media production specialising in: TV and film production, photography, games art & concepts, music, art and design, graphic design and textile & fashion design.

As a media lecturer you will assist in fostering a rich learning environment by teaching clearly structured lessons or sequences of work via courses delivered on a range of days and at different venues throughout the year. You will be committed to excellence, offering the very highest standards in teaching. Youwill also be expected to be contribute towards course marketing.

You will have an honours degree in a Media Production related subject and experience of planning, assessment and delivery of media theory and context to at least level 3. You must also have strong and current technical knowledge of the media industry including context and theory and requirements for HE progression. With excellent communication skills, a proven track record of engaging with and creating positive relationships with learners of all ages and abilities, you will also demonstrate a can-do attitude and be able to engage wholeheartedly in a team approach.
