CARE LEARNING CENTRE (CLC) are currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Training Advisers/ Assessors to join our team working closely with employers and other organisations in the design and delivery of programmes to meet specific apprenticeship requirements.

We deliver a wide range of qualifications within the Health, Adult Care and Business Administration sectors which include Apprenticeship Standards and Diplomas.

Our Training Advisers / Assessors are integral to the success of the team. In this role you will need to be able to draw on your own experiences in Health or Adult Care to provide support and training to learners in their workplace enabling them to realise and achieve their career potential.

We are looking for Training Advisers /Assessors who will be home based to train a caseload of learners. For all candidates it is essential that you have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and manage your own time. Travelling will also be part of this role to deliver our blended learning programmes.

Experienced and qualified Training Advisers/ Assessors in Health or Adult Care is an advantage but we are willing to provide training and the assessor qualification to the right candidate.

The Role

• Visiting learners in the workplace to carry out teaching, learning and assessment activities

• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely contact and visits are conducted

• Delivering learning programmes including functional skills

• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress

• Planning and implementing initial assessment, inductions and learner reviews

• Support, advise and motivate learners

• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs

• Building and developing relationships with Employers

Essential

•Occupational Qualification up to and including level 3

•Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively

•Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours to meet employer and learner needs

•Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle

Desirable

•Ideally hold recognised Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33)

•Ideally hold a Level 3 or above teaching qualification
