Rugby College are seeking a Communication Support Worker on a temporary basis.

Role Title: Communication Support Worker

Hours: Tuesday 10.30am to 4.00pm, Wednesday 9.00am to 4.00pm,Thursday 9.00am to 4.00pm, Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm

Location: Rugby & some off site work experience support

Start date: 24/01/22

End date: 29/04/22

Experience Required: Previous experience

Qualifications needed: British Sign Language L3

Duties: Supporting student within college and out on work placement.


A CSW is required to support a high needs learner, who communicates via British Sign Language, on the last week of the Achieve Course, Prince's Trust and then a 12 week course for the Prince's Trust Team Course

Achieve Course - Prince's Trust

Week beginning Monday 24th January to Friday 28th January 2022

Tuesday 10.30am to 4.00pm, Wednesday 9.00am to 4.00pm,Thursday 9.00am-4.00pm, Friday 9.00am -4.00pm

Prince's Trust Team Course

This is a 12 week course

Monday 31st January to Friday 29th April

During Week 2 There is a Residential Stay, Tuesday to Friday, at Cannock Chase.

For the rest of the course about 50% of the time is community based (eg 2 week work experience, 2 week community project, 2 week team challenge in the community) and in addition to this classroom/college based at our Rugby Site.

Candidates must have an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months, prior to starting.
