Job Title: Business Development Consultant

Location: Scotland - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 + Bonus OTE £30,000

Essential Criteria:

Experience of working within a sales/recruitment or client engagement role.

Proven experience of negotiating / winning / closing new business - telephone and face to face

Proven experience of working towards and achieving targets.

Excellent communication skills - presentation, written and verbal.

Exceptional sales, marketing and networking skills.

Time management and organisational skills.

Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Must be flexible with travel.

The Role:

Responsible for attracting and securing new employer accounts for the enrolment of learners on to Apprenticeship training courses.

Manage and maintain relationships with employer accounts to maximise all sales opportunities by promoting our clients full training provision.

Identify and engage with new employers via cold calling, meetings, presentations and events to promote our clients wide range of training programmes to secure new employer accounts.

Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss their training and recruitment needs for existing staff and new Apprentice recruitment

Give advice and support to employers regarding the Apprenticeship Levy and future funding reforms.

Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.

Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines.

Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service.

Maintain own knowledge of policy changes, funding changes and relevant business expectations.
