Job Title: Assessor / Trainer – Construction Plant

Location: Based in Aylesbury

Salary: Up to £40,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

- Must hold a recognised Assessor Qualification such as: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
- Occupational competency within construction (ideally operating cranes and / or other construction machinery).
- Experience of working as an Instructor, delivering classroom and practical training, ideally within the safe operation of cranes, controlling lifting operations, or similar.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Hold a CPCS Tester Card (highly desirable)
- Full UK Drivers Licence and use of a vehicle.

Duties:

- Deliver both theory and practical training, on all aspects of safe operations of plant equipment (cranes / vacuum lifters etc), as well as refresher training.
- As part of the role you will deliver some e-learning courses (remotely).
- Conducting on-site examinations and assessments.
- General administration responsibilities, to include booking of tests and recording learners' progress.
- Lesson planning - overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Assist with on-site duties as and when required (this could include the operation of plant equipment).

- Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
