About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an experienced Postman/Postwoman to join our Training Division as an Express Delivery Operative Trainer. We offer an Express Delivery Operative Apprenticeship to our client who is the UK's most trusted letters and parcels delivery company. Using world class equipment and software to provide timed deliveries and collections to homes and businesses; postal workers, couriers and express delivery drivers have a high level of individual responsibility for their working day and delivery route. They are an ambassador for the industry, their brand and the goods they carry and they provide a high level of customer service.
Using your experience as a Postman/Postwoman or Courier, you will train and support learners who are on the 12 month Express Delivery Operative Apprenticeship Programme. The role is split as follows: 50% of the time will be classroom delivery of the Express Delivery Operative standard along with functional skills of Maths and English. The other 50% will be working with the Postal learners, delivery training on the job.
As well as being part of a business that support over 14,000 apprentices, we'll also provide you with all the training that you need to become a fully qualified Apprentice Trainer and Assessor.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to be an experienced Postman/Postwoman or Courier and have a keen interest in supporting people through their Apprenticeship.
We would also like you to have the following:
* GCSE A-C in Maths & English or equivalent
* Excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour
* Have a valid driving licence and a willingness to travel within the regions
What else do I need to know?
* Salary is £24,000 to £26,000 dependent on experience.
* Excellent benefits including optional company car scheme, laptop and phone. Contribution pension and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
* Ongoing training and support is provided including courses of Award in Education and Training (AET) and Certificate in Education and Training (CET).
* Permanent position, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
