Location: London

Salary: £45,000

Do you want a role that challenges you regarding management of staff and gives you responsibility for the development of courses? Do you desire a role that enable you to prove your leadership skills as well as enables you to teach and manage? Then this is the position for you.

You will be responsible for the development of curriculum and monitoring of staff performance. Leading and inspiring your team to promote positive outcomes for student success.

Job Responsibility:

* To provide plans for development of Curriculum and produce new, creative and innovative methods of delivery

* To review the performance of both staff and students, monitoring the quality of delivery and adapting to improve as and when required

* Improving syllabus and schemes of work to promote positive outcomes for learners

* Responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of the curriculum areas in remit

* Ensure student assessments are well-organised and match student needs and requirements as well as responsibility for ensuring student feedback

* Arrange regular course team meetings to ensure students are monitored

* Partake in a maximum of 400 hours of teaching appropriate courses with in the College

* Be involved in the selection, interviewing, admissions, enrolment and monitoring of student

* Act as a lead for appropriate teams and liaise with other colleagues to ensure a high standard of design and delivery of provision

* Evaluate and adapt the provision accordingly to student voice and staff meetings

* Write reports on the work of the College programmes for appropriate audiences

* To assist with the management of funding ensuring aligned with the College's guidelines

* To help with the planning of staff and resource requirements, ensuring correct allocation of staff and learning materials to maximise efficiency

* To help plan schemes to generate extra incomes from external sources

* Help with the overall development of the curriculum team

* Assist the recruitment and selection of lecturers and teachers

* Ensure that staff feel supported and obtain the induction, development and coaching they need - identifying the additional training they might need

* To generate performance data on the performance of the programme, using this to evaluate the courses and help contribute to the annual Self-Assessment Report

* Keep informed about changes within the Further Education sector, help forecast for new courses that might be demanded by the wider community

* Promote the College's missions, objectives and values

* To be committed to the College's Equality and Diversity policies

* Responsibility for own professional development

* Implement and maintain the College's health and safety practises

Requirements:

* Educated to a degree level or have an appropriate professional qualification

* Hold or be working towards obtaining a teaching qualification e.g. DTLLS, PGCE

* Wide range of experience within teaching a related curriculum area

* Can show an ability to develop and maintain links with education

* Experience and knowledge of leading and coaching staff

* Understanding of key events and issues facing post-16 education

* Experience in developing curriculum within the programme area

* Proven ability to establish and monitor a high quality of lesson delivery

* Proven written and oral communication skills

* Proven organisation skills and meeting deadlines in a timely manner
