**CURRICULUM MANAGER - HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE AND SCIENCE**

Salary: £40k-45k

Morgan Hunt are working with a reputable FE college on a Health & Social care and Science Team Manager. If you desire a role that challenges you to prove your leadership skills as well as enables you to teach and manage? Then this is the position for you.

With this role you can be instrumental in leading and inspiring a team to promote positive outcomes, as well as use your expert knowledge to develop the curriculum, facilitating and contributing to improvements in the provision of teaching and learning achievements.

Job responsibility:

* To lead on curriculum development across managed areas as well as reviewing the performance to ensure the upkeep of a high-quality provision

* To manage course reviews and adapt according to the needs of students and the wider community; to ensure that improvements are made to teaching and learning as required

* To ensure learners have aspirations & targets to make sure they progress and are ready for future careers

* To inspire, motivate and lead a team of staff to ensure all members are working towards promoting positive outcomes for students; encouraging staff communication and collaboration to share innovative ideas and good practise

* To make sure staff are managed in accordance to the college's HR policies; providing support and advice to staff when needed to raise the quality of delivery; reviewing staff performance continuously to ensure quality is maintained

* To review, evaluate and adapt staff and curriculum provision continuously, improving and changing accordingly to student voice and staff meetings

* To support students by implementing and promoting a pastoral programme as well as making sure student disciplinary and welfare procedures are followed

* To oversee student admissions, enrolment and induction as well as to encourage student participation in terms of attendance, achievement and retention

* To manage course funding in accordance with the college's financial regulations; managing all resources within the funding parameters, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently

* To abide by health and safety policies; ensuring risk assessments are completed to promote a safe learning environment

* To keep up-to-date with the developments with in the sector and adapt accordingly

* To carry out duties and teaching requirements within the appropriate curriculum area and to be flexible with taking on Evening and Saturday Duty as well as undertake other duties as and when they may be required

* To participate and encourage others to participate in further development and training

Requirements:

* Educated to a degree level or have an appropriate professional qualification

* Hold or be working towards obtaining a teaching qualification e.g. DTLLS, PGCE

* Experience and specialist knowledge on curriculum areas

* Proven evidence of improving the quality of provision

* Can show an ability to develop and maintain links with education

* Experience and knowledge of leading and coaching staff

* Understanding of key events and issues facing post-16 education

* Experience in developing curriculum within the programme area

* Proven ability to establish and monitor a high quality of lesson delivery

* Experience of implementing quality assurance processes

* Proven written and oral communication skills

* Excellent IT skills and using different platforms with teaching

* Proven organisation skills and meeting deadlines in a timely manner

* Evidence of continuous professional development

* Knowledge and commitment to Equality and Diversity

* Knowledge and commitment to Safeguarding and Prevent

Desirable:

* Hold or be working towards an assessor/ internal verifier award

* Had experience as an external verifier or examiner
