Protocol are proud to be working with an upstanding Foundation who have an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team as a Student Support Officer. The role is based in Nottingham which will be full-time and permanent working for a non-profit Education Foundation; established for over 30 years. The role will be looking for an immediate start and interview process.
The role responsibilities:
Respond sensitively and effectively to all requests for specialist and non-specialist support for students across the company, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
Contribute to the promotion and delivery of a positive Student Journey, including anticipating student difficulties and applying early intervention strategies to support student learning
Work alongside and in collaboration with colleagues to assess and monitor individual student needs, including making accurate assessment of personal and academic risk and developing individual support action plans
Work alongside and in collaboration with colleagues to manage individual students who require ongoing support and, when necessary, refer students to further specialist support and services, available internally and through our college and university academic partners, e.g. wellbeing, counselling and DDA support
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions and adapt approaches for the purpose of enhancing the student experience and ensuring students achieve success
Contribute to a variety of meetings and working group forums, actively discussing student support related issues and bringing ideas to continuously drive improvement
Provide a student support focus when working with colleagues in the development and implementation of user-friendly student monitoring systems
Provide accurate student performance data to meet the requirements of the company and its academic partners, awarding bodies, auditors, and inspectors
Maintain clear understanding of internal and external policies, procedures and regulations relating to student support throughout the Student Journey
