The Role:

As an Onboarding Officer, you'll be responsible for assisting clients through various channels, including in-person interactions. Your day-to-day tasks will include facilitating group selection processes, conducting interviews, and delivering engaging workshops to enhance employability skills. You'll also utilise assessment tools to evaluate clients and provide personalised guidance on local opportunities and employment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients through various channels, including in-person interactions.
Facilitate group selection processes and conduct interviews.
Craft and deliver group workshops aimed at bolstering employability skills.
Utilise assessment tools to evaluate clients' needs.
Collect, update, and share information on local opportunities and employment sectors.
Direct clients to pertinent agencies or organisations and advocate on their behalf.
Work closely with welfare, finance, and career services for comprehensive client support.
Engage in outreach initiatives and community visits to explore learning opportunities.
Organise and manage events and job fairs to showcase potential avenues to prospective students.
Establish and nurture connections with other IAG providers and relevant professional associations.
Ensure adherence to Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety regulations.
Take charge of safeguarding and advancing the well-being of all learners encountered.
Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Business Manager.


Skills and Qualifications:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in establishing rapport and collaborating with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and composure in high-pressure situations.
Skilled in delivering impactful presentations and facilitating discussions.
Strong listening skills and adept at asking probing questions.
Capable of working effectively within a team while also showing initiative.
Organised with excellent task prioritisation and time management skills.
Administrative competence, including report writing, meticulous record-keeping, and IT proficiency.
Efficient in researching and managing extensive information resources.
Commitment to upholding equality and diversity principles.
Excellent proficiency in IT tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Holds or willing to complete a Level 3 or higher Information, Advice & Guidance qualification.
