So who are FE Careers?
FE Careers was launched in 2003, by Further Education and Recruitment Specialists. We developed FE Careers as we identified the huge need for a client managed online advertising service for Further Education and Work Based Learning.
Our focus was develop an online advertising platform for the entire Further Education system, to help solidify FE's identity and draw together the multi faceted dimensions of Further Education and provide a one stop shop for FE, WBL, Skills and Welfare to Work job seekers to view all of the latest job vacancies across the entire FE sector.
The launch of FE Careers was coupled with the launch of our sister news website FE News.co.uk (click here) the online news site that provides news articles across the whole sector, with specialist monthly columnists, video articles and event information. FE News was developed to provide one voice for the latest news across FE.
Due to the success of FE Careers and FE News we launched the education directory SearchFE.co.uk (click here) and FE Events.co.uk (click here) the education exhibition, conference and workshop advertising calendar in 2007.
In 2008 we launched the overhauled and re-designed FE Careers site (this was our eigth update in 4 years!) and FE Video.co.uk (click here) the video and movie sharing site for speeches, best practice etc. We were really excited by the combined launch of FE Video.co.uk and the latest updates on FEcareers as these two sites provided ground breaking and innovative ways to engage job seekers and cement FE brands. These developments provided an exciting platform to integrate video clips and movies to support your job advertisements, news and FE brand.
In 2009 we launched our social networking site www.FEcommunity.co.uk where FE professionals can network with each other, submit press releases and event information for inclusion on FE News, share tips from FE Experts, set up their own groups and share best practice etc. FE Community also enables video uploads and is a place where we encourage embedded video to uploaded sharing best practice across the sector.
We completed the biggest web development on www.FENews.co.uk to date in 2009 (it was a busy year and was our ninth major web development on FE News to date!). We merged FE Video, FE Events and FE Community. With all FE Video articles produced by our award winning New Media Team (our New Media Editor is an award winning international documentary film maker).
FE News now has a new look, with special emphasis on our monthly columnist writers (we now have 12 regular columnist writers across the entire FE Sector), a whole new video interview section, event information and more. Due to the popularity of FE News and multiple viewing of videos we moved to a faster and more robust server.
FE Careers and FE News work in partnership with the Association of Colleges (AoC), the Association of Learning Providers (ALP), The Indepedent Verifiers and Assessors (IVA) and The College Marketing Network. To bring you a continual stream of interesting jobs across the Further Education and Skills sectors and experienced and qualified job seekers for your vacancies.
